The person behind every stay
Hi, I'm Carla.
I created Shingo's Palace after years of caring for animals and after sharing my life with my beloved Labrador, Shingo.
My goal is simple: provide a safe, loving, cage-free environment where dogs feel like family.
Every guest receives personalized care, daily attention, and plenty of playtime in a secure home setting.

Daycare family
Some guests become part of the family and visit so often that everyone knows them by name.
Calm companion
Margot is a sweet, gentle regular who brings a calm energy to daycare. She likes soft social moments and feels happiest when she can stay close to the group at her own pace.
Playful regular
King is one of those familiar faces who makes daycare feel alive. He enjoys the daily rhythm, the yard, and being part of the dogs everyone recognizes.
Adoption support
Some dogs stay with us while they wait for the family they were always meant to find.
Jefe spent time at Shingo's Palace while waiting for his forever home, surrounded by calm routines, affection, and safe care.
His story is one of hope: a dog who needed time, patience, and the right people to see his heart. During his stay, Jefe was treated like family until the day he found one of his own.
Chester arrived at Shingo's Palace unexpectedly, but quickly won everyone's heart. Friendly with dogs, cats, and people, he's currently staying with us while we search for the forever family he deserves.
A few days ago, Chester appeared at the gates of Shingo's Palace all by himself.
When I saw him standing outside, I went to check if someone was looking for him, but he was completely alone. I invited him in, gave him fresh water, a good meal, and a safe place to rest. He looked tired, hungry, and unsure of where he belonged.
At first, we introduced him carefully. Whenever a new dog arrives, safety comes first. But it didn't take long to discover what a wonderful dog Chester truly is.
He loves people, enjoys playing with other dogs, and, to my surprise, gets along beautifully with cats. Day by day, he showed us a gentle, playful personality and a huge desire to be part of a family.
As we learned more about his past, we realized his story had not been an easy one. Chester has experienced more uncertainty than any dog should. What matters now is not where he came from, but where he is going.
For the time being, Chester is safe here at Shingo's Palace. He is receiving care, structure, affection, and the chance to simply be a dog again. We plan to have him neutered and continue helping him build confidence while we search for the right forever family.
Finding a home is easy. Finding the right home is much harder.
Our goal is not to place Chester quickly. Our goal is to find a family that will love him, protect him, and make a lifelong commitment to him.
Until that family arrives, Chester is home with us.
And every day, we will remind him that he is loved, wanted, and never alone.
